Bea Schubert

Bea Schubert studied Fine Art at the Braunschweig University of Art in Germany (Painting/Prof. Hermann Albert). After her Degree she travelled the world for 8 years, eventually settling down in Mallorca and La Palma/Canary Islands. Bea Garding Schubert started her international carrier in 2007.

She has exhibited her work around the globe, from New York to Beijing. The German Embassy in Athens and the Chagall Museum in Vitebsk/Belarus hold a number of her paintings, and her work is in major international collections.

Bea Schubert seeks to express herself through her art in the occasionally awkward and gloomy daily routine. Her warm, vibrant, and brilliant abstract compositions counteract negativity in a positive way. The artist chooses to depict hope and beauty, which are constant elements in her work.

Bea Schubert’s paintings initially appear to be entirely abstract, yet with closer examination, the viewer may spot minute details and recurring themes like birds. In Bea Schubert’s artwork, birds stand in for limitless potential, freedom, and futuristic ideals. Bea draws inspiration from street art for her work. She therefore applies acrylic, pastel, and spray colors to the canvas in expressive motions.
