Gisela Hammer is a contemporary German artist whose works express a clear moral message, and this shapes her aesthetic. Her clear imagery is authentic and unmistakable, the use of her colors is safe, expressionistic and characterized by a strong style.
In her abstract world of images, which is mostly about people, she impressively addresses current topics such as flight, expulsion and war, but also deals with the fascinating facets of nature. Again and again she develops cycles of images with people who she met on her travels through Africa, who made a great impression on her and are stored deep within her.
Gisela Hammer lives and works in Gaimersheim/Germany and Mallorca/Spain.
